Small Groups and Ministries
At Northwood Christian Church, we believe the point of Christian life is not just going to church, but “being church” in our everyday lives. We are working diligently to develop a network of vibrant, engaging small groups and maintain ministries of the church. The idea of small groups is that they can gather just about anywhere, and do just about anything: study the bible, create art, watch movies, eat together, explore spiritual practices, write poetry, play music, etc. The content and venue may vary, but the purpose is the same: to gather together to share life, tell stories, pray, serve, and grow deeper into a life of faith.
Here are some of the small groups that are currently active at NCC. We encourage everyone to contact the church office for more information, or to start your own group by calling (317) 283-1352.
Ralph and Marciel Werking Food Pantry @ Northwood
At the heart of Northwood's ministry is our food pantry. The food pantry is open Saturday mornings from 9:30 to 11:00 and currently serves all zip codes. The food pantry is always open and welcoming to anyone wanting to volunteer. For more information please contact the church at 283-1352.
Bible Study
Come join us in our Library or online through Google Meet as we study scripture. (summer excluded) This group meets for a short 1-1.5hr. and time just seems to fly by. It's just the pick-me-up you need in the middle of the week. All are welcome!
